Not really a lot. Normal for me but I got jealous of everyone else's contests and felt this was the best way to make my own

It helps to know the rules about how fast trucks are allowed to drive and mandatory break times lol

Ungoverned caterpillar and I don't run logs. I've cleared 800 before. You had a better ball park to start in though.

How do you not run logs?
An out of compliance ticket can be expensive.

Radius exemption. I'm never more than 150 air miles from home

Still have the time frame though.
I still have time limitations, even though I am not always driving and I work for DOT.

I guess I've never had an issue with that. I work when I work. I go home when I'm done. I come back tomorrow. That's the extent of my "logs." I'm just the driver though. Boss says no logs, I hear that I have one less thing to worry about. We may also have some ag based back door through the system or something. I don't know.

A lot of it also depended where you're driving. The Northeast is the worst with the traffic and all the road work.

Ok, if you are running ag, then that makes sense.
Ag truck don't have to have logs.
Plus if you are running ag, your drivers can have an ag license and that's a whole different regulation.

Even though we are DOT and have over-weight permits, we can still get over weight and out of compliance tickets and those are on the driver.
We have to roll across the scales like anyone else, even though we are considered exempt and we still have to follow the federal DOT rules.

Other than no logs any other advantages?
I'm so glad I don't drive anymore. Used to get away with a lot more things back then. I even knew most of the local truck enforcement officers by first name....Had one guy pull me over almost every time he saw me just to BS.  :)

Ag is restricted to a 150 mile radius from their home.
They are allowed other exemptions than over the road trucks too.
