Best of the 20-Bundles

I'm a cheap newbie with an uneducated palate (if I have one at all). Anything over $2 for me, basically, is a waste of money (although a Muwat Kentucky Fire-Cured cigar was super fine recently.) I buy and will continue to buy the cheap 20-bundles. Can I get some recommendations?
I'm considering buying a 40-bundle of Nicaraguan Churchills (I like that size) but am concerned that if there's a brand amongst the smokes I like, I won't be able to order just that specific cigar. Why Nicaraguans versus something else, you ask? I read that they're stronger and more flavorful than Dominicans.

You sound like me 7 years ago. I didn't think it would be a problem to find plenty of enjoyable bargain smokes but in reality, it is virtually impossible. And you will find only a few halfway decent smokes out of a pile of deplorable sticks. I still have some of those deplorable sticks. I "enjoy" them on short car rides. I don't even smoke enough of them to ash on myself before I fling them in a ditch. My best advice to you is to smoke what you like. Don't let anyone's advice discourage you from smoking cheap cigars if you enjoy smoking cheap cigars. Mark Twain insisted on cheap cigars so, there's that.
There are plenty of really good cigars that can be had for a few dollars more ($4 to$6) when you figure out which ones you like and search for them on auction sites. (cigarbid.com) Be cautious. Cigar auction sites are addictive
I can't find a 40 count Churchill offering on cigar.com but I googled it and the first thing that popped up was another online site that starts with a T and ends with hompson. The best advice anyone can give a newbie is NO! Don't DO IT! Stay away from those a-holes. Stick with cigar.com. Call 800.357.9800 and talk with a sales rep. They won't bite. Tell them your situation and they can make recommendations and can possibly even discount something for you.
If you like a certain cigar you find in a sampler, chances are very good that you will be able to buy boxes or bundles or 5 packs or whatever of that specific cigar.
These look interesting. I haven't tried them but they might be smoke-able.

Super Premium 2nds. I've tried these. Not terrible. They age well but not "frog to prince" well.

Just remember, if you insist on cheap bundles, you're scraping the bottom of the barrel for your pleasure. Hope you like it down there.

I try not to pay too much for cigars, but as was said, it's hard to get good cigars cheap. One thing that does work is to get samplers. That usually lowers the price for a good cigar and also gives you the opportunity to try some different smokes.Also, you can call one of the reps at C.com, I use Andy and he's great, and tell them what you want to spend and to suggest something for you.Remember, we all started out like you. I used to smoke gas station cigars! Stick with this forum and you will learn a lot. You will also realize that we have some really sick puppies on this blog, that's why it's so great!7 -

@Ksnyder211, check out the Cheap Guilty Pleasures thread for some ideas on some good cigars at bargain prices.
If you look hard and are lucky, you might be able to pick up a box of the excellent La Gloria Cubana Coleccion Reserva cigar for a bargain price.8
