    That is interesting, although, if I understand it correctly,  it seems to say that air and water vapor are blocked. 

    And this article contradicts that :

    i think I’ll stay with the latter......

    I just went back and re-read the first article and I was mistaken. It doesn’t contradict it - it mentions low permeability. 

    Please disregard my first response.

    It makes a good fire starter. I save all my wrappers and use them in my wood and coal stoves.
