beauty of the spring

Our wild azaleas are starting to open. I transplanted these from the woods about thirty years ago.The red ones open first followed by the orange and finally the pale pale yellow. Middle of May sure is nice here.  We have about a dozen of these beauties,

    Only because we fenced off part of our back yard to keep Dog from going hunting. Our hostas are inside the fence.

    I'm guessing it is the dog / dog's scent keeping them away from the hostas.  I have seen deer easily hurdle a 6' fence around a large field but haven't seen a single one try to jump our 4' fence to keep the dogs in...Very nice azaleas!

    I saw like...8 whole minutes of sunlight a couple days ago. I think it was a couple days ago.

    It's nice to see forum members come out of hibernation and enjoy the season.
