I love concerts.  Even music I don't tend to listen to, always seems better at a concert.

Grew up a metal head, and 80's hair band rock.  Saw just about everybody, with one exception that I will always regret - never saw AC/DC.

Always hated country until about 5 years ago.  Now I've even been to CMA fest in Nashville.  That was awesome!  Fav Country artist, by far is Dierks Bentley.  LAst concert I've seen was Dierks.

Was gearing up to see Fleetwood Mac next year in Philly until Lindsey Buckingham decided to be a 5 year old and not join in.

Diamond Rio last week at the count fair. Guess it would be a stretch to hope for a rock concert at the fair.  ;)

That wouldn't deter me as Mike Campbell, formerly a Heartbreaker, is who they replaced him with. The price is what stopped me. Sold out in a minute, the secondary market wanted way too much.

Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang will be at Sandia casino August 18, of course I will be working that night.  :'(
Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.

Alice Cooper is going to be at our local fair.  And 5 Seconds of Summer.

Granted all the free stage artists are country.

It's "America's First Fair" going since 1765.  They almost got some bums from Liverpool England to play there once, but were afraid they wouldn't draw crowds.  Then the next week that band went on Ed Sullivan and, the rest is history.  I think the bands went downhill from there.  It's like a curse.

If they could get locals like Live, Halestorm (they did in 2013 before hitting it big), or the McCoury's of any era (Del owns property next to a friend, but they only ever use it for family reunions and storing cars; that guy's SIL graduated HS with one of the boys) it would be better.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot.  I will smoke anything, though.

Alice Cooper would be a great one to go to at a fair.
I had to look up 5 Seconds of Summer though.

Yeah, I'm considering it.  I had to look up 5SoS, too.  Not exactly my thing, but hey, not country.  They've got a couple good hooks on the songs I listened to.

Boss lady says I've heard their songs and don't mind them, but I wouldn't purposely listen to them. LOL!

I don't mind country and we've been to a lot of country concerts, cause you know, we live in an area where that's all they get. But a good rock concert would be fun.

Kind of irritated, my son will be working a Def Leppard/Journey concert at the Portland Moda center at the end of September.

Haven't been in many years. When I did it was everything from Alice Cooper (Capital Center) to The Carpenters (Wolf Trap)  to Liberaci (Kennedy Center ) to Led Zeppelin (Capital Center). Oh and Stevie Ray Vaughn at George Mason University. One hell of a concert.
I've actually been to shows at all of those places!  And many, many shows at the Birchmere in Alexandria.  These days we catch acts at the local watering hole most every week.  Last big concert I went to was a Jimmy Buffett show back in 2014 or so.

Took the wife to see Stone Sour recently. Corey Taylor just gets more awesome as time goes on.

I'm a TC3 junkie lately..... (The Cadillac Three)

Been to about 10 shows in the past couple years. I did two shows back to back last month on a Thursday and Friday night.

I have a couple more planned for this summer.

And randomly, I'm going to see Rick Springfield next month for a friends Bday.  That should be...  interesting.

I gotta get me some Musician earplugs (for attending concerts) to protect what hearing I have left and keep my tinnitus from worsening. I sometimes use regular foam but I'm not happy with the music unless the music was super loud, dangerous to begin with. Any of you live music fans have any experience with or suggestions for some (basic to intermediate quality) musicians earplugs?

I don't get to many loud concerts any more but you might want to take a look at the different types of ear plugs they have for shooting.  Most musicians now wear "in ear" monitors that look like ear plugs and I know there are companies that make ear plugs that same way...they form them to your ears...
