Golden Days Rubber Duck Race Contest

I mulled this over in my somewhat addled mind and came up with this idea. Fairbanks was founded on gold mining and the town's origins are celebrated with a duck race down the Chena River. There are 8000 rubber duckies dumped into the river at one bridge and float to a second. Each duck is numbered in either yellow or pink. First yellow tagged duck is top prize. See link for details.

Here's how this'll work: Pick a number between 1 and 8000. Whoever's guess is closest to the number on the winning yellow duck gets the a forum fiver from the rest of the gang. Race happens 7/20 at 3 PM Alaska time; official results are out the 23rd. I'll use the official results as a determination.

@TBonz... It's 7 days of party with an 1890's theme. Things have toned down a bit in today's oh-so-correct society so there's not as much debauchery involved, but it's still a good time.I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...-1
