Not a dumb question. You need to know because of the descriptions written about the cigars you might want to try. Strength is supposed to mean how much nicotine you get and body refers to the flavor intensity. Often these two terms are related because the tobaccos with the most flavor can contain the most nicotine.

The longer a cigar ages the less nicotine it will have. The more a cigar ages the more the nicotine will turn to sugars and improve certain characteristics of the cigar. Habano has the highest level of nicotine.
