how does that happen to a brand new humidor. I tried to wipe it with alcohol but it doesn’t do anything..

That's some ganja mold, you must have a spore-rich environment.

    24 hours?
Unless it was already there and  you didn't see it.
It takes far more than 24 hours for that amount of infection.
If this is true, I don't have any explanation as why it took hold so fast.

All you can do now is try and clean it.
Vinegar kills it, but takes some doing cleaning it with water and then letting it dry out before trying it again. Even then, the vinegar may linger.

If you just got it, call who you got it from and see what they say.

Maybe it was second-hand and they removed the visible mold but failed to neutralize the spores.

Send those pictures to the retailer and see what they will do about it. As it is now it is no place for cigars.

I would trash that wooden cigar torture device and do as was suggested, get some plastic ware. Also, humidity aside, what was the temperature? Because that's your Huckleberry.

    Good luck!!!

Temp was 75 always. Never heard back from the merchant as to what they decided it could be but received a new replacement humidor from them today.  Thanks for all the information.

Set this one up somewhere not in your house. That way you can tell if it's the retailer or your particular environment. It's most likely the retailer though, unless you keep your house like a tropical rainforest
