I thought it was funny the first time I watched it and I was only able to understand a fraction of the lyrics. But reading the lyrics while listening to it is my recommendation for full comedic effect.Yakster said:

I had left the TV on, and I don't normally do that but glad I did because I caught the Grand Ole Opry broadcast on one of our local stations. A surreal acoustic performance by Marty Stewart, Vince Gill and Brad Paisley. No audience. They were spread out at least ten feet apart on the stage. Gill opened the show with Sweet Music Man as tribute to Kenny Rogers. (I don't think that part of the show is included in this "live-stream" video.)
