A favorite ruse of mine when it comes to wedding anniversaries, is to not ask, "How long have you been married?" but rather, "When (or what year) did you two get married?". Then I can do the math and reply, in Frank's case, "Ah yes, 14 years of heaven on earth." When it becomes apparent what I'm getting at, the men generally chuckle, and the wives typically sneer.
