On to Festivus GT. This metal pipe tamper and snips are great for cutting dry rings out of the clean section of the pipe cleaners I run down the stem.

Boy, that espresso and a pipe really jumpstarted my afternoon yesterday. Today I’m closing out MMM (March Meer Madness) with Watch City Rouxgaroux in my figural meer paired with black coffee in the garage. Had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast. It’s going to be 85 today so I’ve opened up the house to cool it down now.

my own blend from about 10 years ago, several different vas and burleys, some perique, a healthy dose of an Oriental and a touch of Kentucky, 13 different blending tobaccos in all. A 'sum greater than the parts' blend. In my Stubble elegant cob.

    C&D Burley Flake #3 in a cob. A pleasant burley-forward blend with some VA/Per.

Excellent, I picked that up on PSD to help a brother out over there and never smoked it. I think it looks better in your photo than I remember it in person, you got skillz.

Trying out some Gawith Hoggarth Glengarry Flake from @NorCalR1 in my no-name Italian Dublin dedicated to saucy Lakeland blends. This one is saucy smelling, David separated it from the other blends he gave me thankfully, but I’m still trying to find where all that pre-light smell is going when I smoke it. It’s not translating to an overpowering blend, TYVM David for giving me this sample. I think I’m going to have to smoke a couple of flakes to get a better impression of this one.

Glengarry gets much more interesting tasting after the halfway mark. I’m picking up a dark spicy note I can’t quite place. Maybe a bit of cumin there?

I read about the honeydew, but it sure doesn't remind me of honeydew.

Right, and I’ve still got to get a prize package out to you Edward for the 2020 Pipe Tobacco of the Year contest. I haven’t forgotten.

This morning I smoked some Boswell’s Hunter’s Choice in a Chacom second (shown in the back) with coffee followed by the rest of the GH Glengarry in my no-name Italian Dublin in the front. The Hunter’s Choice is a burley blend, great morning smoke with coffee. The Glengarry has more of a honeydew note to it today, it seems to benefit from DGT (Delayed Gratification Technique). Two pipes this morning and two cups of coffee. Working from home is hard. :D

The only issue I’ve found with the Chacom second is a bit of scuffing on the far side of the bowl, otherwise It’s a nice pipe.

Huh? I don't remember winning that. Can you send my prize to the guy with a snow blower and 1/2 mile of snow up north of us?
