Enjoying C&D Sansepolcro in my Chacom second with my second cup of black coffee and some cheese and crackers on the man patio. Great, bold blend. Finished up the bowl on the vHerf and went back to yesterday's Rum Flake that I didn't finish.

While the Plague Bringer had Syrian Latakia, this one, KBV Dread Planet features some Perique to spice it up. I'm liking both blends but I think I could lean into the Dread Planet a bit more. TYVM Professor @Stubble Steve for the KBV Sample. Smoke in my MRM Year of the Ox Mod Cob.

The @Stubble sampling will continue until morale improves. This time the KBV Zombie English which has come candela cigar leaf in it in addition to Cyprian and Syrian Latakia. A good smoke, TYVM Steve. Smoked in my MRM Fal-Cob bowl on my Falcon stem.

Sampling some Wilke Surbrug Crystal Palace in my Baraccini #2 Pocket Pipe. It's a mild, sweet English that'd be good for morning smokes. Drinking home-roasted Guatemala Huehuetenango Chalum Lot 2 black coffee.

Wilke Rum and Maple in my Falcon pipe with a meerschaum bowl after lunch, paired with plain water. It has a light flavor, more maple than rum, but it's good.

Wilke Peanut Butter and Chocolate in my small AKB Dublin Meerschaum pipe. I think this tobacco benefits from some dry time to improve the flavor and reduce any odd chemical tastes, but it's pretty good. I practiced DGT on this one, loading the bowl and doing a charring light before I smoked the Rum and Maple earlier which I think helped the flavor.

Smoking Gawith Hoggarth Dark Birds Eye in my no-name Italian Dublin I’ve dedicated to Lakeland blends. This is a strong tobacco that includes nicotine rich stems in a easy burning shag cut. I read a review that compared this to straight espresso, I’d agree with that comparison. I like it, but then again I like straight espresso.

Finished up the last little bit of the GH Dark Birds Eye in the no-name Italian Dublin and decided to chop up some GH Brown Irish Twist to try out. I was going to smoke it in the no-name, but I decided I needed to give it a break so after careful consideration I'm dedicating my Chacom second to Lakeland blends going forward, maybe reserving it for the more unflavored Virginia offerings like this one and Full Virginia Flake.

@Yakster, you owe it to yourself to jar some up for aging, it is not so kickass and loses most of the steak/motor oil flavor and what you are left with is very nice.
GLP Chelsea Morning in my pipe, and on the garage floor until I cleaned it up after I dropped the bag. This was after spilling coffee on my wireless keyboard. Getting ready to roast coffee, what could go wrong?
