Big steak dinner calls for a big post meal cigar.
These El Jefe behemoths taste like an entirely different blend, a lighter version of the Monarch that I usually smoke. Been aging these quite a while and they are very smooth but the flavors are a bit washed out in this size. Still very good, just not as rich and full as the smaller counterpart. I generally find this to be the case with these big sticks. I guess it makes sense since they don't usually cost much more but are sometimes twice the size of other vitolas. Probably just more volado and a little bit of seco to beef them up.

A week isn't very long (especially in cello). Maybe their storage conditions are way off? I've seen that before but it's usually folks from Florida or Hawaii dealing with extreme humidity. Hopefully your next selection goes better. Yikes.
