I have seen other manufacturers do this in figurados. From my understanding it is put in the head of the cigar because it is easier to manipulate in the rolling process. Where the head of a figurado is drawn together so much tighter the chopped fill allows for a better draw. How true this is Iโm not sure but I do remember reading it.

It did have great draw but I cut it after smoking the majority of the stick so I don't know about the rest of the bunch, just that I was getting bits of tobacco off the end.0 -
