This AM John Coltrane live at the Village Vanguard followed by Maria Callas singing Puccini arias. Callas spellbinding arias covered the full range of her instrument and were recorded in 1954.

I’m currently on a deep dive into the symphonies of Sir Arnold Bax. I have both boxed sets, and Bryden Thompson/London Phil is head& shoulders better: more precisely articulated and better acoustics.
Music the size of continents. I am
nowhere near exhausting all the there there. Having a touch of Asperger might be involved. There is nothing more helpless and irresponsible than a man in the depths of an ether binge.

Hmmmm... why have I not heard of this Bax fellow? Classical/symphonic/orchestral is 99% of what listen to, and have not come across his works.

Five years ago I finally bought the box of Bax. Awesome; hits the x-ring in terms of rich chewy late Romantic symphonic bombast.
Imagine finding something as good as Opus minus the hype or markup. Now to do that with tobacco …

Avett Brothers, Amos Lee, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bon Iver, Great Lake Swimmers, Fleet Foxes to name a few. But no... I'm not a Taydolf Swiftler fan
I think you missed that I was making fun of all the oldies on here

I miss a lot. That’s pretty funny. I like your bands. Might put one of them on tonight. I was actually thinking about Bon Iver.

I'm on a Christopher Cross and Yacht Rock kick at the moment. I listen to everything.... but country. I'm not a Pop Country listener at all.
