Just my guess, I can't really respond for Todd.

Meanwhile, the clash of the Titan Egos did seem inevitable, didn't it?

Now there is a quote button at the bottom of the post. Sort of like the one I used here. If I was responding to his post, I would've used said button and in fact quoted him. But alas, I did not so I was not responding to his post. I was making a general statement as this is about to get good. But obviously it was so obvious to you that obviously that you knew I was obviously being obvious , obviously. Obviously, this is obvious.

The US Supreme Court blocked a case brought by Mexico’s government that alleged that American gun makers sell weapons they know will be funneled to cartels. Despite the unanimous decision to block the case, both Washington and Mexico City agree that Mexican cartels get most of their weapons from US sellers; the guns are used to defend drug trafficking which has led to record overdose deaths in the US. A recent survey showed at least two-thirds of the hundreds of thousands of weapons seized in Mexico each year come from the US, as is the case across much of Latin America, a factor in it being the world’s most dangerous region.

It's not the fault of the American gun manufacturers. It is the fault of the cartels for using them in an illegal manner. Millions of weapons are sold every year and about 99.999% are used legally.

Also, does anybody really believe that if the cartels couldn't get weapons from the U.S. they would just stay home and play nice? Of course not. They would buy far more lethal weapons from china and the middle-east, who don't have government controls preventing exporting to other countries to be used by narco-terrorists.

This was just another attempt by American gun-control groups to bankrupt a legal industry selling legal products to people who have a right to own said products. It's just good that the Supreme Court recognized this as such and slapped it down. Hard.

Also, the books were cooked to come up with a figure to say most of the guns come from the U.S. The truth is that the majority of traces PERFORMED BY THE ATF traced back to U.S. gun manufacturers. This was easy smoke and mirrors on the gun-control industry's part. If they only contact the ATF to trace the guns made in the U.S. but not the guns recovered that were made in Austria, Germany, China, Russia or the middle-east, guess what? You get mostly guns made in the U.S. Democrats keep proving how low they will go to push civilian disarmament. Sleazy.

I also thought you were referring to my post. I just figured you didn't feel like dealing with the formatting of the long post on your phone. I don't think I was reaching by assuming that. Arguing over things like punctuation and formatting instead of the main point of the discussion feels odd to me. This isn't a court case, it's just people shooting the s4it about current events. There's no winner or loser required.

No, not at all. I've also come to understand that conversation with you is not fruitful. You're like a politician, this is just another example. If a rule helps your point, it's a rule and must be obeyed. If the same rule provably disputes your point, well then it doesn't count. There is no solid ground that you stand on. No truth to be found. Therefore, you have no grasp of logic and cannot be reasoned with.

You're often very funny, both intentionally and unintentionally. Many times you make the comment about something that came to my mind when faced with the situation. You're not stupid, but you're still just a very small troll. There's no being "triggered" by such an insignificant voice. It would be silly.

Awesome article. I always have respect for George Will. I've said in conversations with my hardcore Democrat friends: "Y'all keep fighting battles that have already been won, because you know the outcome. This way, you ensure you're on the 'right' side of the issue. But, it's over. Accept that the issue is resolved and quit pushing it further, because that creates a new imbalance."

Thanks for opening up that article.

I do hope this is not the beginning of tyranny or a police state.

Trump Sends Marines to L.A. on 4th Day of Immigration Protests
The military said 700 Marines were being added to the National Guard troops already mobilized in Los Angeles to quell opposition to immigration enforcement raids.

@silvermouse my guess it’s a show of force, nothing more. El presidente wants to appear he’s not backing down and being tough on illegal immigrants. I’m having difficulty understanding why he’s not continuing going after the illegal hard core criminals. I haven’t heard anything regarding any criminal records of the most recent arrested illegals working in day to day jobs.

A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.

Since he sent the 2nd marines I think he wants fast action and not prolonged.

When a government goes towards a police state, the precipitator is usually a false flag event created by the government to justify itself. This isn't that. Yes, it is a pre-manufactured event, but not created by the government.

Really not my place for a comment, but can't seem to resist. Everything is based on perspective . So is it getting worse or is it possible that actions taken have stopped it from getting worse?
