First up. STANWELL BRAZILIA: Nice+/Clean! 70's-90's Danish Vintage Estate Str./Flame Grain Briar Bent Tall Dublin w/Brazilian Cattle Horn Accent.
Nice+/Clean! Doesn't fully describe the condition. Other than the dark chamber, it's practically new.

Luigi Viprati 2 Clover estate pipe. He grades his pipes 1-5 clovers. 1 being exquisite, 5 being average. It's a beautiful pipe with a large chamber. I'm a little disappointed with the seller's description of the pipe, though. He didn't mention that the bottom of the chamber is burned oversize. You can really feel the difference when you stick your finger in the chamber.

After I finished that bowl of Wilke I checked the chamber again. It doesn't get larger, there is just a ring around it just above the bottom, probably from not reaming all the way down. Smoked ok. I suppose I should be more thorough in my checking and thinking before posting.

Probably good you bought it now because those prices are going to go up.

Have you had the Night Mare before, Stephen?
No, all of these are new to me. I think the only KBV I've had in the past was Jupiter Slices, which I liked. Opened and jarred all these I got. I'm starting to think KBV may be the new McClelland. I like the stickers for the jar lids. Nice touch.

Would you like some samples of other kbv blends? I have plenty.
Much appreciated, but, I'm already crazy for buying these, lol. I contemplated this purchase for a while, finally broke down, read all the descriptions a few times, and my curiosity got the better of my common sense. I've got about 70 blends on hand, and only smoke one or two pipes a day. Sometimes not that much.
It is fascinating to me how the various blenders can make such a wide range of tastes. GLP, Gawith & Hogarth, Robert McConnell, Seattle Pipe Club, C&D, Lane, and more. Amazing.
I'm also saddened when a venerable institution like Sutliff goes under, victims of fashionable trends in manipulation by government and "movements". For instance, cigarettes are extremely addictive, thus leading to overindulgence, then on to serious health risks and a need to inform the population about this.
Fine, I'm for that.
What happens instead is that any mention of any form of tobacco in any form of public entertainment is frowned upon and stories like The Hobbit have any form of smoking is awful, requires government and industry warnings etc. Over reach at best.
At any rate, I'm rambling. Thanks for the offer.

Agree on the jar stickers. Deep house is also good.
