Power went out around noon and is supposed to be back on in a half hour. No a/c and no wifi sucks, not to mention no dehumidifier drying out the basement.
Edit: 3:45, the power just came back on. Let's hope it stays on. No reports on what happened. Thank God for electricity.
The power went out for me on Friday five or ten minutes after I'd started a video call with my family in Japan and New Zealand. I was able to switch over to my phone using the cellular network until the power came back, which it did in less than a minute, and my Internet came back up, which took quite a bit longer.

Replaced my starter today. Got 2 of the 3 bolts back in. Battery cable somewhat tight. Managed to lose the 3rd bolt and a brand new socket. Oh well, someone will find them on the highway.

Picked up 2 ribeyes for $7.99 / lb today, had them sliced to 1 1/2 inch thick and vacuum wrapped them for the freezer. Something to grill when we go camping again.

You would have to add $10/lb to be accurate ($17.99/lb) here in Komiefornia.
A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.
Lit out on a walk at first light. Fog was thick. Walked up on deer twice and they growled as the flag went up and they disappeared into the fog. Blackberries lined the path through the woods so I ate as I walked. An hour and a quarter I was back. Spit and stacked some oak for an hour. Spent the rest of the AM getting art books and supplies that I will not use ready for a give away to the elementary school art teacher. Lucy sure had a lot of art stuff that I'm finding homes for now.
Was going to go to Monterey to check out the car show but the wife woke up sick so, slight change of plans going to cook some food and watch the UFC match tonight at the house

grew too many summer squash, gave 11 away to staff and had 4 left over, walked down the street to the beach and knocked on the door, got rid of the last of them (for today) to the thrilled elder. Can't bring myself to just leaving them on folks doorsteps.
Last hay of the year cut, based, put up and last hay wagon un hitched at 8:58 last night. These retirement hours are brutal, I may have to go back to work ( or not,lol )

Did anyone in Milwaukie get their free hamburger today?
Edit, I did my own investigative work and found your free burgers are Aug 20 but you can pick up a voucher that gives you some scheduling flexibility.
