Cut the grass and ran the weed wacker for the first time in three weeks, so it's been that long that I've been on that side of the house, and I almost walked into this while weed wacking.

Nice present for the meter man.

Yeah, maybe I'll leave it for him.

I was actually reaching for the vines to pull them off the wall when I saw it. Mostly black bees with white on the head and abdomen. I'll have to look up what they are, but they don't look friendly.

Look like bald faced hornets to me, and they’re prìcks

Yep, that's what I think too, after looking at some pictures.

    We call them paper hornets.

Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

I read that they can remember human faces, and will bypass other people to attack someone who they recognize.

Hate them around beehives. They as well as dragonfies do so much harm to a hive.

Fire pit tonight with Kim while we message our kids on the other side of the globe. My daughter found a coffee place near her house in Japan and my son went to the beach on a rare warm day in winter in New Zealand.

Bald faced hornets. I got into them once while I was weed eating. They will chase you.

We call them white face wasps. Never stuck around to see how friendly they are but wouldn't test them. Not a lot of friendly wasps in the world it seems..

I didn't know that there was a nest of them in my raspberry patch. Kept getting buzzed until I saw the nest attached to one of the canes. Gave it a 2' clearance and they let me keep picking. They were not aggressive once they knew that I knew and respected their territory. Just like nations.

Well, these guys are building in my territory, so I am going nuclear.

Picked up two books at the thrift store today, James Patterson Countdown and Lee Childs The Affair. Kim put them both in the freezer after watching the latest King of the Hill episode about bed bugs being spread by a lending library. Apparently it's a thing.

Went to grab breakfast yesterday and two blocks from the house in Mrs.Shrek’s Element starts having a bad misfire. Codes showed misfire on cylinders 2, 3 & 4. $48 for 4 new spark plugs and the Element is running better than before! MPG greatly improved as well. Loved that they were easy to access on top too.

Highly recommend these for the cost as the common spring loaded extension did not hold tight enough for a spark plug socket down in the valve cover.
