This weekend's fun excursion was to the Western Railway Museum near Rio Vista on Hwy 12. Focus on Interurban Electric Trains. Being the early birds, RO and I got a personal train tour and one on one with the Conductor, who is a retired history teacher. What a great experience.
I got a text from my daughter “our school bus hit a truck”. 1/2 block from our house they scraped a utility truck. Fire truck, 2 cops, EMS. Luckily they let us walk home
My morning hike was pretty much uneventful. Two and a half miles up and down hills on a old log road along side a trout stream. Mostly cleared of uprooted trees from Helene. I had to bushwack 75 yards down a steep hill through a tangle in one place. When i got back there were two turkeys inside the garden fence. I ran them out. Went down to the Humane Society and took a look at cigar dog prospectives. One dog maybe the one. Big decision.
Was watching a couple large birds, hawks perhaps, flying around a little bit ago. There's now five of them looking for food, most likely. Missed a great photo opp of one flying slowly over me as I'm typing this.
Made my yearly trip to the county courthouse to pay property taxes today. Our county has a program where by paying early you get a discount. Payments in the month of October receive a 5% discount, and if you pay in the first week it is 7%.
The real shock this time was when I was told our property taxes rates actually went down.
If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.
Truck load of white and red oak split with wedges. This will be next year's fuel as it will take that long to season. Lots of logs because Helene uprooted countless trees.
Gallery owner visited my studio this AM. She picked out several pieces she wants in her galley. Here are a few. Lover's Knot bleached and carved maple 36" long 16: tall.
One of my Sneaky Series curly maple turned and carved,
Two upright forms multi axis turned and carved ebonized locust 55" tall

Trapped in the People's Communist Republic of Massachusetts.
Nevermind the coconut-headed guy, is this not just about the most beautiful 55 year old you've ever seen?
Healthy looking couple.
Husband: “I want to check out a Harley at the dealership.”
Wife:” Those things are death traps!”
They pull up to the dealership and she just stares at him with arms crossed.

Too much caffeine too late in the day. Can't sleep tonight. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Did you tell them to wait and do it after Molly gets off, the next time around?

There were a couple people that wanted to get a bottle delivered to Patrick's house late one night. Thank God that didn't happen.
My wireless keyboard has gone Tango Uniform.
Bummer about your keyboard. Big fan of Tangos, though. Especially when Uniform. It's like they're greeting you all bright eyed.

I think I figured out a workaround.
Did you flip it over??

I really feel like she didnt need her parents to buy a bar. She loves life but give her 10 years and im concerned.
I found a way to hard reset my keyboard to factory defaults and things are back to normal now, no stupid workaround required.
Luckily someone posted about it in Reddit since it's not on the company website, you'd have to go through customer service bullshit to get this info.
Lame Game James repeat performance. Next showing Sat, Nov.1, @ OSU.

I picked seven Nerf bullets out of the grass while mowing today.

Cleaned out the MIL's pool room of junk including an armchair and couch, on our way to visit our niece and grandnephews.
Also exchanged the James Patterson and Lee Child books I finished for ones I haven't read at the library this morning.
What?
