Not as cool as Chris's over-the-door hanger but got it organized so mylar bags aren't falling out on me every time I open the door.

Just gotta fit the 1.5lbs of Wilke on the way.

When I receive a pound of tobacco i usually transfer to 1 pint jars. I've been stuffing 2 or 3 jars with as much as I can fit in them, usually 4-6 oz each. Whatever is left goes in a jar loose. Should I be packing these jars that full or leave a little room for air in the tobacco?

I put as much as I can but the majority of my stash is flakes. Ribbon cut, 4 - 6 oz seems about right in the pints.

Leaving some air in the top can help "kickstart the fermentation" if that's what you want. You may not want that with an aromatic. The second video talks about opening jars during aging and stoving.

I sterilize my jars, put on sterile gloves, pack it in so tight i can hardly seal it, and i may get some heat for this, but i place it on a shelf in my office that gets fairly warm during the summer and cold in the winter. Occasionally ill pop a tin and have a taste.

Soon as the hockey game is over I will send a picture of my wife's. It was $54 but seals regular and wide mouth bottles. Been working great on the herbs she grows.

She loves it. Had another one that was less expensive but didn't always seal and couldn't do wide mouth jars. She has used this for 2 year and couldn't even tell you how many herbs she grows for cooking and for medicinal reasons.

Thought that my draw attention. Funny thing is, we share no bad habits. She like as salad, I like half done steak. She likes making apple cider and grape juice, going to refrain from comment here. She like k-3 kids in school, Always liked the ones that were on probation. Yes hers are actually herbs and for health reasons. Man we are so different .

Went through all 13 pages for an answer but no opinions exist yet. Also, I really don't want to clutter with another thread, so, I will drop this nugget right here. Seems to fit.
I am curious about what y'all think with storing the Gold Brick in the same jar as the Curly Block. Both are Virginia based but Curly Block has Perique in the blend. Being that they are both plugs, at least both are pressed pretty tightly, do you think any cross pollination will occur or some kind of weird aging may affect the flavor of either?

Sounds like something I'd do. I put all the baggies of different KBV English blends from @Stubble in the same Mylar bag and I was keeping the Wilke Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter and Chocolate in the same Mylar bag until I sent it to @ShawnOL.

They might cross a little where they’re actually touching each other but with them both being plugs I would think it would take a very long time and be minimal even then.

You could put a piece of wax paper between them.

Those Virginias will split into virginia and west Virginia.
