I'm going to try your recipe as soon as I can find a proper roast

I was making it with pork roasts and using the leftovers for pulled pork sliders, but it's better with beef if you can afford it.

Bonus points if anyone can guess what that is on the right.

@CalvinAndHobo , looks like red beets, but that would be too easy. Some kind pickle maybe?

I'm gonna say that's raw lean beef from the Carrot Bros Ranch

Some very close guesses, Kool-Aid pickles.

I didn’t figure you were far enough south for that. Did you make them yourself?

Yeah I did, the recipe I used had way too much sugar for my taste though, so I guess I can't fully embrace the southernness. Next time, I'm going to add like 1/3 of the sugar, so that it's got that tropical punch flavor while still tasting like a pickle.

Yeah, they like their sugar down there, I could never get behind sweet tea.

    Where’s the garlic bread? 🤨

Honestly I was trying to avoid making even more carbs and a bigger meal than I had room for, but I should have just made garlic bread instead of sweet potatoes.

Roasted veggies with chorizo gravy. Not as good as just regular sausage gravy, but good enough and a fun experiment.

Chorizo is so different , much like breakfast or hot. I love a good chorizo sausage or gravy.
