Meanwhile Duke has blown a 10-point lead and we're going to overtime. ACC game has turned into a good one

12. Duke or JMU (I would pick Duke, I think it'll be JMU.)I don't know if you left a&M off on purpose, but FIFY.
I thought that they might drop Ohio State to 4, just so two Big ten teams aren't clashing together in the championship. However, they have done a one and two seating of SEC teams before. I don't think they're afraid and I don't really think you can drop Ohio State past number two. They lost us slug fest and a well-played game to an undefeated school.
Committee won't punish a team for losing its conference championship when it was already in position. BYU was not in position.
They already had Notre Dame in front of Miami. I don't see them changing it now.
Question in my mind is whether or not they give Duke credit for seven ACC wins versus JMUs cupcake conference and FCS slate of opponents outside of the conference.
Interesting thing here as if they give the ACC the automatic conference bid because they're the ACC. I think they'll chicken out but there will be a discussion.

The biggest flaw that I see with my ranking is that you'll have a guaranteed SEC team in the semifinals. Six plays 10, and the winner plays 3. Hard to get around it when you put that many teams from the same conference in. I would still lobby for no more than four teams from any one conference.

Yeah, A&M was who I was forgetting.
Alabama at 10 with three losses but not Texas that just knocked off A&M?
Do they put in either 3 loss SEC team and pass on Vandy?
Georgia beat Ole Miss (6), Texas (13), Georgia Tech (22), and now, the only team to beat them to win the conference championship, Alabama (9). Plus, the committee always has a hard on for Georgia. I’d be surprised if they’re not at 2.
What they decide to do with the ACC will say a lot. I think it will come down to what they see as the profitable matchup more than anything else…usually does.

I think that they're not going to penalize anyone for playing last night. If they do, ot could have negative consequences for the championship games in future years. And championship games are cash cows.
That said, I think they fix championship games next year. No more elaborate tiebreakers. Top two ranked teams from each conference go. Period. If they take Alabama out of position today, the next year underdogs won't play conference championship games. Or kids will sit out.
The reason I'm keeping Ohio State number two is because when you look at all the one loss teams, who has the best loss? It's Ohio State by a mile. I also think they're one of the top two teams in college football and I think that this is what the committee will do.

Well there you have it. Since we all knew the ACC wouldn't get shut out, it was either Miami at 10 or Duke at 12:00. They chose Miami at 10. I think they chose correctly.
Bonus! My Notre Dame friends are losing their shít right now hahaha

They didn’t penalize anyone for playing last night…but they also didn’t reward anyone. The championship games were fixed before they started all the straight seeding tiebreaker bullshìt.
Miami shouldn’t be there in my opinion and that would be on the ACC for their bùllshit trying to get extra spots. If the committee is going to award certain spots to conference champions then they should also penalize for losing or not even being close to being the conference champion.
Only way to fix it….fùck the confrerences. They mean nothing. Go to straight seeding and make it like the nfl. Two conferences and equal divisions in each. You either win your way in or you don’t.

If they are not going to put the ACC champion in but they will put Miami who lost to Louisville and SMU and didn’t make the ACC championship game in, then there is no need for conferences.

Talk about having some juice.
Notre Dame now has an agreement in place with the CFP committee stating that if they are ranked 11 or better at the end of their season ( in a 12 team playoff format ) that they are guaranteed a spot in the playoff. If the bracket extends to 14 they have to be ranked 13 or better at the end of their season for the guarantee. If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.
