It's over 73 in the house right now and I'm not ready for it. It was in the 80s here but only in the 70s in Red Bluff today, I think I'd better take myself outside now and have a cigar and cool off. It's in the mid 60s outside right now.

Only 10 miles, but it was good to get out and get some exercise. It beat the heck out of riding a stationary bike in the gym. I'm good for 3 miles at most, then I'm bored almost to death, even with the TV right in front of me.

That's Awesome and sound like you had alot of fun.. You only do what you feel comfortable with honestly..Never got into the stationary bikes but had thoughts about getting a mountain bike to ride the trails..

We are signed up for two 45 mile rides later in the year. We typically do 28-30 almost every weekend through the summer and fall, but were just happy to get out, even if it was a short start. Mountain biking is too dangerous for me!

What kind of bikes do you ride? I just got into biking a little last year and am consider getting a Trek Roscoe 8. I’m a 10 minute bike ride to the mountains and want something to tear up the trails.

We both have Trek Verves with 24 and 27 speeds for riding flat gravel trails, and I have a Giant AR Contend and she has the Liv equivalent, with 18 speeds, for road riding. All are aluminum frames, and the road bikes have disc brakes. We only ride for fun and exercise, nothing serious.

You can tell that bike was not made for riding on concrete.
