Baby goat leg, about 3 lbs, fired on the grill with a touch of hickory, tonight. Seasoned with salt, pepper, Simon & Garfunkel, garlic powder, and a homemade garam masala. Ro oven roasted potatoes with tumeric and other seasonings, garlic naan, and a Greek yogurt concoction. Sorry, no photo; the kids gobbled the majority before I could wash my hands. Plates not needed this evening. 🤷♂️

Rob, my super picky son, was not home for dinner tonight so I treated myself. Lobster ravioli and jumbo shrimp in roasted garlic parmesan spaghetti sauce along with a bunch of cheesy garlic bread. Yum.

If there's a rub for a meat or potatoes or something, say it's like salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Is there any reason to have to mix all those together before putting them on the meat? Or can you just add them one at a time and ignore anything that says to mix them all first?

If you do them one at a time, the first one will mix with moisture and form a barrier. You can end up with layers of seasoning instead of the intended outcome.

Nicoise salad from the French seaport of Nice. Big bowl of lettuce with assorted eggs, olives, cheeze, arranged around the outside. Protein in the center in this case part of a strip steak. Oil, garlic, mustard, honey and white wine vinegar dressing.

When I got home from work tonight I was too lazy to actually cook dinner. I grabbed a random can off of the Campbell's Chunky Soup shelf, I got Chili-Mac . Had that with a handful of pepperoni and garlic flavored Ritz crackers. Nothing fancy but I'm fat and happy now and that's all that matters.
