Edit: this is NOT a drybeg. I have a few pouches of it put away. Please, nobody send me any. @Stubble o,0

I like it. Usually not a morning smoke for me, but I tend to shy away from the idea that I should do the same thing the same way every day. I think it has a richness to it that is very enjoyable, what I assume is Cavendish provides a nice background sweetness, as long as it doesn't get too hot.
Of course, that's kind of a universal thing with pipe tobacco. The too hot part, that bowl gets cooking and the taste changes. That's one of the great things about pipes for me, put it down and let it cool and it goes back to the way it was.

Getting ready to switch over from Anniversary Kake to Dark Plug while I switch over from roasting roasting coffee from Peru to coffee from Burundi tonight. The coffee roaster company changed the UI dramatically leaving me struggling to see the landmarks, I'll figure it out and maybe change some settings back later.

Tried to smoke a bowl of C&D Dark Burley in my Peterson Aran 107 this morning. Was harsh and bitter. Made me gag. Dumped it. Put some in a poker and tastes good through the foul taste left in my mouth.

Don't know they are still doing it but Peterson pipes used to be stained by dipping the briar in the stain, in including the interior the bowl. Took a while to break them in.

Deep, rich, straight tobacco flavor. Very nice. Thank you Edward.

Edward, this pipe has been great from the get go. This is a new phenomenon.
Steve, its way overdue for a deep cleaning. Will bring some 180 proof to work on Monday and douche it out thoroughly.

Good stuff. Sometime last year, I think, I posted smoking some of this and credited Stubble with sending it to me. He denied it. Then I thought maybe Edward or a couple others, all of whom denied sending the tobacco. Pulled it out to pack a bowl and it dawned on me, @NorCalR1 was the culprit. Thanks David.
