It's been rainy all day, but clearing up now (more rain to come this evening), and I can see clouds and blue skies instead of smoke. It's nice.

We've had a nice respite from the heat this week but it sounds like they are cranking the ovens up again, a couple more months and we can move on into fall

Supposed to get a break today, last few days have been heat index 110F or so, max humidity. Looking forward to a little relief.

Back into the sauna. I'm waking up to windows already covered in condensation, dew point is 77F, projected heat index today is 106F.

Heard news of the tornado in Wisconsin. This morning they mentioned Appleton. Anybody hear from Brad and Justine yet?
EDIT: I just checked his facebook feed, and he was offering to loan out his generator, so that is a good sign.

So far, they're not reporting any fatalities, which is amazing. They had 'watches' but no sirens or warnings; given the size of the tornado and where it hit, it's miraculous.
