Ok, I don't have a pipe or any knowledge of what I'm doing when it comes to them. What's a good place to start trying it? I guess I'm asking for recommendations on what to buy and try.
My apologies if there's a better place to ask or look.I don't have problems, just more work to do.

That feels like a trap I'm not sure I want all the heat.

You can get a straight stemmed cob for the price of a cheap cigar. Pouch of one of the "old school" blends ,Prince Albert, Half and Half, Captain Black, etc. Got me started.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.
