    Has anyone used Kanopy streaming service? It is offered through your local library, need a library card but has an extensive library of movies and series

    I have used Kanopy and another library-linked service Hoopla to watch movies on my Roku device and on my computer. They let you borrow a fixed number of movies or shows a month and are commercial free so well worth checking out. I have a city and county library card and what you can borrow depends a bit on your library. I also still check out physical books from my local library. These services have recent offerings as well as some of the older movies that have become hard to find.

    Seems like Paramount is bringing back more of the Battlestar Galactica franchise, things I've been wanting to see but not wanting to rent. Besides Caprica, they also have BSG The Miniseries and BSG The Plan.

    To expand a bit on my previous answer, since you have a limit to the number of shows you can "borrow" it may not replace other streaming services completely, but it's a good, free way to supplement them, especially if there's something you want to watch that's available on Kanopy or Hoopla an another service that has ads, I'll pick Kanopy or Hoopla to avoid the ads.

    'Legends' on Netflix was excellent. It's loosely based on actual events in England's efforts in the '90's to combat heroin importation by enlisting and training customs agents to work undercover. The title refers to the persona an agent would assume and live in while undercover, their 'legend'. 6 episodes.

    Remarkably Bright Creatures.
    Sally Field was great as usual.
    Bit if a chick flick but had some good twists.

    I'm watching Weapons on Prime through for the first time. My Wife watched it on the plane and it caught my attention but I only saw bits and pieces with no audio at the time. She watched it again last night to fill in the gaps but I only saw bits and pieces, so I started watching again today. It's a good, strange movie.

    I watched the Mark Twain prize being given to Bill Maher last night. Love that guy. Both of them.

    He was very liberal early in his career. He has since stopped drinking the koolade and become a lot more conservative.

    I think he just calls bullshidt when he sees it, no matter which side.

    On the other hand I believe he said something like that about himself, and of course, it sort of proves the old adage;

    "If you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're old, you have no brain."

    So it goes.
