Hey welcome Mike. Basically most of the BOTL leave the cellophane on just so they can handle the cigars. It serves to protect the wrapper. But some also take off the cello for better aging. If the cigar is in contact with the cedar of the humidor they age faster and start to mature. Either way it's just how some BOTL feel.

Welcome mike. This is the chicken and the egg question you will get a different opinion from everyone and there is no right or wrong. Most leave it on I would say there is a trillion threads on this forum if you look around pn all the whys and why nots

Welcome on board Mike, I recently joined this forum and I love it..Everyone is helpful , the contests are fun. I already won two contests. As far as the celo, keeping them on allows for you to ( handle , trade , sell ) easier. If you are going to keep them and smoke them , take them out and you will appreciate the taste of the cigar as it ages and btw the wondeful aroma that penetrates your nasal passage from the humi is priceless. hope this helps.. enjoy stav

welcome to the forum i'm also pretty new here myself. lots of good info & quik responses. enjoy your stay. Just leave the cellophane on until you're ready to smoke, I like to see cigars in the nude as much as the next guy but you WILL run into problems.

    Thanks Everyone!

I'll keep them on and see how it goes..

While i'm at it, Humi is showing 66..should I keep it here or move it up a few points?

This ofcourse is after i get another replacement Humidifier. I bought a new one, followed the directions for the 4 hour soak in distilled water and the freaken ting exploded open with oversaturateed beads. NICE!

was that the blue rectangle from humicare? that happened to me too. i read on these forums not to soak it, but to drip distilled water in there.....i didnt listen. i put in a a huge bowl, with distilled water, left went to see inception.......amazing movie, came back and it was like 4th of july.....exploded.....soo i salvaged as amuch as possible .......anyways.,....point is....this forum can really help, alot of people know their stuff......well welcome on board
