anyone know a maker that would make a oasis type humidified, but possible with a cooling system along with it as well?

Guessing the Vinotemp is not working out? I saw this one thread on another forum where the guy took the thermoelectroic cooling element out of a vinotemp and transplanted it into a humidor. It looked like a lot of work, but the result looked fantastic.

You can buy stand-alone thermoelectric cooling elements, generally from higher end computer parts stores online. They'll probably run you a couple hundred bucks but then you can temperature control pretty much anything you wanted. You might be able to get a good deal on one used through Ebay or Craig's List. To the best of my knowledge, though, there isn't a commercially available unit that does temp and humidity other than the Vinotemp which is designed to be a humidor (as you can guess, it's overpriced)

I remember posting on here about how for a few hundred bucks you could buy a TE element and a Cigar Oasis that would turn one of Waxingmoon's (Hope he posts more work soon!) masterpieces into cigar heaven.

almost done with the wine cooler...building the shelves now...looks a tad ghetto but who cares...lol....well I was thinking about having a friend of mine build a wall unit in my garage and if he does i will need some type of cooling unit cuz my garage gets 100 plus degrees

THey sell humidors with the cooling unit built in, but they run around a couple hundred at the least (can't remember the name of the maker tho').

But why would you wanna put it in the garage? Why not the house? Why build in the wall since it'll be immobile?

    *cough* I may have misspoke when I said a few hundred; turns out it could cost a few thousand . . . . Aaaaanywaaay . . . . here's a few I was able to dig up:

If you're so inclined, you could install the cooling unit yourself: http://www.kryothermusa.com/

Or, if you're not willing to spend a few thousand, you could peruse these threads, where some of the posters were able to install their own cooling units:

Frpm "Stogie Guys" (no idea who they are): http://www.stogieguys.com/2010/01/01052010-stogie-tips-build-a-wine-a-dor.html

Check out pg 3 or so for some nice pics of this guy's modding/setup: http://www.puff.com/forums/vb/cigar-accessory-questions/10894-cabinet-style-humidor-cooling.html

This is a bit off-topic, but if you're so inclined and have an extra $1,500 or so to bust, you could always go for the dream humidor: http://www.waxingmoonwood.com/humidors/wmwch01
