  I always just carry my bic in my pocket lol.... not sure if that helps with this new attrocity of either xray or groping.

  I strongly suggest everyone read this link above it's hilarious appearantly you can't carry on swords and hand grenades.... who knew?

  Depending on the Airline Carrier: Matches have to be one that can not be a strike anywhere match. It has to be a book or in this case a box set of matches. Just can not be or have a source of ignition. This could be either brought on as a carry on or in checked luggage. As for a lighter it falls into the same category. Example is a Bic Lighter. Zippo's are not permitted unless packaged in a way that makes it safe and has to be checked. http://www.zippo.com/products/zippoaircase.aspx?bhcp=1 Now this is not for all Airlines but I do get to see my fair share of stuff getting taken away. Best bet, leave the nice lighters at home and get some matches where every you might be going. Hope this helped.
