Need Help: New Humidor

Hello everyone.

I have only been smoking cigars for about a year now and could use a little help.  My wife bought me a small humidor last year when I decided I wanted to give cigars a try.   I quickly outgrew this humidor with my cigar.com monthly club shipments :) and have been looking for a new one. I have a nice game room / bar area in my house and like the idea of a counter display type humidor such as this..

My questions are ,  will the "display" style of this humidor make for a bad choice trying to keep my cigars happy?  Are the doors less likely to keep a good seal?  Is the overall height of this humidor going to create problems keeping the humidity up? Am i throwing away money on a specific look and poor quality?

The staff at cigar.com and the members of this forum have been great so far.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The doors should seal up just fine, if not, simply recharge your humidity accessories accordingly. If this is what your looking for, get it. Unless your sticks are sitting in the sun alot, the glass should not harm anything at all.

I would really recommend beads, you can google Silica sand. It's used for all kinds of stuff, cat litter, preserving paintings, controlling humidity, etc etc.

Thank you for the input.  Where do you buy your beads?  This is the first time i have heard of them.

Thats a great looking display!! And sittin in a man cave on a bar would be over the top!! I just need to convert my garage into a man cave! The cat litter will work. i've never tried it but those who have swears it does just as good. If you would like to check out the beads, you can copy/paste the links below. The first one is Conserva Gel, those are what I have in my winedor and they have worked great for me. There is also HeartFelt Industry, that sells beads. Those are the second link.
