Some of you may know that I am in process of training for caber tossing. I am in need of you of knowledge... Im looking for parts of unincorporated Washington. Ive been told that if I find a section of Unincorporated land that I can cut down some Alders without permits. Is this true? if so where can I find some Alder trees that I can hack down for my caber training?

    Why Washington?
What do you need? Whole logs or what?
    How many do you need?
If you don't need a ton of them, I could probably get some off my nephews land here.

I think what he needs is what they toss in the Highland Games so would need basically a whole tree.

    I have tons of those.
The question will be, finding a straight enough one and how he would transport it.

Yeah im just looking for 3 different lengths... Im lookin to get 12 foot, 14 foot and 16 foot lengths. Preferably about 6-8 inches in diameter. I have a friend who can help me transport them. :) I wont need them for a while though. We are in process of moving and i wont have garage space till we get into the new house.
