Enclosed my porch rebuild last week. Hung a temporary door this week. Put down an indoor outdoor carpet remnant over roofing felt to temporarily seal up the floor decking today. Don't want to lay the bamboo floor tiles until I have finished working in there, so that I don't scratch them up. But it's all enclosed now and feels like a room. Gonna set up my cigar rolling station in there. Time for some lazy. So I set a comfy lawn chair in there, uncorked a Bohemia beer, sparked up a home rolled, opened a new philosophical book lent me by a cerebral friend, cracked a couple windows, and christened the new room just now. Good beer, good book, good smoke. First chapter about the language of African drums. Bearswatter busy in the kitchen whipping up an apple pecan caramel pie from scratch. Delighting in her new mechanical apple peeler. Not for me, she warns; this pie is promised to our new son-in-common-law. Christmas carols playing. News via Facebook announces our great-grandson Oliver today learned to roll over. What a prodigy. New laptop we ordered for the autistic grandson arrived at BestBuy today. Pup recuperating from surgery feeling real cuddly. Gonna have a crackling fire and leg of lamb.
