Mold in humidor

KefaKefa Posts: 2
I had mold in my humidor a few months ago. I cleaned it out with white vinegar and put it out in the sun all day. Now I keep getting mold in my propylene glycol crystal jar. I put a new jar in and have mold in that one. Any ideas how to clean the humidor. The mold spores must be in it. I don't any mold developing in the humidor.

Are you using distilled water when charging the crystals?

Hope it isn't an expensive humidor.

Distilled water by itself is not good enough. You need to use 50 50 solution. Propylene glycol and distilled water. The glycol is an mold inhibitor. And at 50 50 will keep your rh at 70. Never use water gels with just distilled water. And even with 50 50 you need air circulation. Otherwise your asking for mold.
