CHAPTICO, Md. –  Police have charged seven suspects in a senior prank that released 72,000 ladybugs in a public high school.

The St. Mary's County's Sheriff's Office says in a news release that early May 20, five people forced open a door at Chopticon High School in Morganza, Maryland.

Deputies say the pranksters, who were wearing masks and hoodies, released a swarm of ladybugs throughout the school while two others waited in a car.

    They are actually sold to farmers. I think they eat mites and stuff.

    Just do a Google search for "live ladybugs".....alternatively many mail order catalogs geared towards farmers/gardeners will offer things like this.

    Generally, the company will use next-day shipping and deliver them live to your house within 24 hours

    My father-in-law raises chickens for meat and orders about 150 baby chickens in the mail every fall.
    No, I'm not kidding.

    * I have a new address as of 3/24/18 *
