You probably didn't see a deer because they smelled the ceeegar, or wish for that matter.
Life is too short to smoke bad cigars!!!

Nice one indeed. And I was hoping you were the real Chuck Norris the whole time. Dammit!!"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."

I had the pleasure of stopping at Outlaw cigars on the trip back to Minnesota. That place is A1.0

Well, good for her. I'm proud of her. And I'll bet Dad was proud, too. That's a good looking buck she's got there....2

Mebbe so - but it LOOKS like it's pitch black out there and the light is coming from headlights of a vehicle .....
Nice buck, anyway....0 -

As as you harvested three, how did you butcher them out? Did you go the jerky route at all?

Ive had a big season so far this year. Hammered a Bull Elk, Prong Buck, Mule Deer Buck, White Tail Buck, White Tail Doe, a few coyotes and a few geese. Rounding out december with a few more goose hunts then have late season white tail and a Red Stag hunt teed up for January along with some more predator hunting. The Elk was definitely a tough and memorable hunt.

Congrats on that Elk. I visited an Indian Reservation in New Mexico a few years ago and was able to watch them clean the Elk. I have some cool pics. The jerky was excellent. I could only imagine how good the steaks are"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."

From my experience, once you've eaten elk you'll throw rocks at beef. There's nothing better than killing and eating an old, dry cow elk. Moose might come in second but it's still better than beef.0

Team O'Donnell FTW!
