Should all wrappings be removed before placing cigars in humidor? A friend has told me it does not matter. I'm new at storing so please tell me.

It's a matter of preference. Cellophane breathes, so it really doesn't matter. I keep mine on for protection because I like to touch them"Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."

Welcome to the forum, I'd keep them on for protection, but it really doesn't matter to the cigar.1

If the cigar will be in some sort of moist environment, you've better off having the protection, so that you can still smoke it afterward, like most of us do.
