Do look here, I'm an enabler.... What did ya get?3

The solution is to indulge more, and buy bigger coolers

The only two ways out of CAS are 1) dying - not always fun, and 2) move into a Tiny House with no garage or outbuilding. I never thought I would regret owning a house with a basement, but I do.

An intervention with your closest BOTL @peter4jc may be in your future. He is a role model for control and restraint.
Well, maybe not, but he is a great guy to herf with and discuss this issue.
I obviously can't help. When I get a little money I buy cigars, if there is any left I buy food.Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.3 -
If it's a choice, you have to go with cigars; you can't smoke food. At the very least, it's hard to light.

I have made the decision to buy cigars instead of food a few times. I saved my lunch money over time and bought a box. I regret nothing. I am in trouble with my wife too, right Nick @Usaf06. I smoke a lot more than the op though. I will say this I have never smiled while spending large sums of money before this hobby."We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give". It's real. It's fun. It could possibly get you put in the doghouse. Good luck.1

My wife put me on a 2 month ban from buying any more cigars after the last credit card statement and she found my stash. Now I give my cigar smoking buddy cash and he buys me cigars. Working a little more to make up the difference. Is this wrong? Start thinking out of the box. You'll be fine.8

You guys have a problem and need to get a handle on it. My only problem is they are going to shut off the electric towards the end of the month so I will be smoking in the dark thanks to @Bigshizza having another saleA little dirt never hurt8

I believe that the happy ending is, you've got a lot of great cigars.
I also wonder if this is what happened to @kswildcat ? Wife saw the CC statement?

I've said many times, cigars are not an addiction, they are a hobby, an addicting hobby!

Works 3 ways:
1) LAS is way cheaper than CAS.
2) RYO generates cigars, which satisfies CAS.
3) RYP slays the devil's playmate

This thread makes me think that, for the younger guys, it may be time to review the two rules for a happy marriage:
1) The woman is always right.
2) Should you find yourself in the position that the woman can be irrevocably proven wrong, refer to rule number one, which supercedes all other rules.
As someone else said here recently; "you can be right, or you can be happy."
You don't get both.

So far the wife has been patient and said vary little other than I have bought more cigars this year, and smoke more in the past 2 months than I have in the past 3 years. LOL. I think it is like any other collector, or hobbyist, the fun is in the chase, except with cigars, the pay-off is also in the smoke!

In truth, my wife is fine with it. My problems are actually more that I'm going to need a cooler very soon as my fridgador is just about packed! LOL. And whats scary is that it didn't take long at all!

I also had this problem, but a cooler won't solve it. After filling the wineador I started a coolidor. Now it's just about full as well.
My wife just smiles because she knows that the next time she wants a shiny bauble I can't say no. I guess it's fair...
