Re: Post Every Boring Aspect Of Your Mundane Life Thread
I've been put in charge of bringing an old Shopko buildings hvac system up to par so a new store can lease it. This includes invoicing and quoting these repairs... Everything is 22 years and has seen better days. The building's system must be in safe working order to finalize contract. 14 roof top units including 12… -

Dunno much about shower scale, but I do know about toilet rings. Hard water, rust, whatever...poop turned into cosmic concrete, you know. Nothing worked, always a damn ring. Then, one day I bought a $1 bottle of "Works" from the Dollar Store, I figured, "why the heck not"?Wouldn't you know it -best stuff on the planet.… -

I used to have lots, but now only one, One Size Fits All. After not playing it for years, I now see it has a cigar being smoked on the cover. Yay! Inca Roads has one of the most beautiful guitar solos Zappa ever did. And Sofa No's. 1&2 are superb; but I do have to admit, the insane nature of Father Frank is a bit more… -

washed my car after the neighbor's stinking sumac (Tree of Heaven) (Ailanthus altissima) stopped coating it with flowers. from wiki: The tree was first brought from China to Europe in the 1740s and to the United States in 1784. It was one of the first trees brought west during a time when chinoiserie was dominating… -

Connected the turntable to the sound bar using a cable to the analog jack instead of using the Bluetooth connection to dramatically improve the sound. Discovered that the bath spout with shower diverter I ordered from Home Depot didn't fit (need a slip fit 1/2" CWT) so ordered another one from Amazon. It's funny that the… -

Got called in at 1:30 this morning for a typical “I’m not thinking” pilot write-up. A latch on an external wing panel was “stiff when cold soaked after flight.” It’s been snowing hard, the plane had gotten back from another trip 4 hours before, got refueled outside and there was snow buildup on the wings before it got… -

Managed to douse myself thoroughly in jet fuel. The geniuses at Lear decided to run 2 engine fuel supply lines under the left engine generator. Fuel lines have to come out to get the genny out and there’s no way to drain the line prior to disconnecting the couplings. Right engine doesn’t have this dilemma. 30 minutes out &… -

spent a delightful half hour finishing this afternoon's cigar and watching ants on our sidewalk, how the different sized ones interact and move. How much work an ant puts in dragging a 1" piece of dried out earthworm across a 2' slate, moving backewards, encountering debris that hinders easy going, stopping occasionally to… -

I am Equipment Service (maintenance technician) for a car company at their transmission factory in the aluminum machining department. We take the cases from the die cast department and machine them before they go into assembly. We typically have 4 ES personnel per shift. Well, today 2 were scheduled for vacation and 1 guy… -

Sweden: No reason to look any further than skatteverket.se; the Swedish tax agency provides a free and very easy-to-use system for everyone to use. Skatteverket also sends out pre-filled tax forms in the beginning of April, and if there are no changes to be made, the filing can alternatively be done simply by texting a…
