Re: Problems with seal on Coleman xtreme 70q?
@VegasFrank Hey Frank! Yeah man I thought it was the hygrometers too but I have two in there just re calibrated and they’re reading the same as when I first calibrated… -1%. Even though the humidity is low they both still read the same. Highest I’ve seen it recently has been 66%. As far as the humidity goes I’m in south… -
Re: Ok, I need some suggestions...
Hey amigo... If I remember right, you have the same humi I do. When my % started dropping recently I filled up the humidifiers that came with it (left them dry prior to this), and tossed in a bunch of humi-pillows that I had lying around. This was on top of the 1/2 lb of beads I had in there. Shot my % right back up, and… -
Re: Gurkha Cigars.
KingoftheCove:I like the Titans, but not as much as I did a a year ago..................my tastes have changed I suppose? My amateur opinion..........Gurkha = lots of hype + marketing.......... resulting in too many cigars, inconsistencies among their lines, some of which are simply not that good imho. I'll take the GH… -
Re: Optimum Fullness
Good question......probably too many variables to get a "correct" answer, such as: -cooler, or tupperware, or wood humi -how big is said device -what size/mix of cigars (fat cigars will have more "air space" around them than lanceros when stacked up) -how are they stored in said device (loose, in boxes, in trays, etc.)… -

Re: Man o' War Virtuoso
lilwing88:I just got my MOW Special Edition Solomon in the mail today. Gonna let it rest for a few days, at least. I might jump on the sampler. But it looks like it's on back order. Oh well. I bought a box of ten a few months back from a special email offer from the beard. I've smoked 3 from that box, plus 1 from a cotm… -
Re: Beetles. What are the odds.
My Humi regularly hovers between 78 to 80* down here and in the many years I have enjoyed cigars only 1 stick ever appeared to be damaged by a beatle and I believe it was like that when I got it. I am in my Humi each day so I look at them frequently which could save the lot if something got started in there. BTW, I also… -
Re: Pipe
You keep the pipe in your mouth at all times (they go out after 30 sec - 1 min if you aren't blowing or sucking in), and if you either suck in smoke, exhale it and then blow air through the pipe, or just inhale the smoke (in your mouth, not your lungs), and then blow the smoke back into the pipe - either one works fine… -
Re: What appetizer to an Opus X main course?
Looks like a great evening, I know I would have enjoyed it!!! On the cooking steak part...you said you cooked the steaks for 10-15 minutes, turning them over frequently. Why? I'm curious if thats your technique or if there was something you were trying to accomplish (taste/testure) by cooking that way, especially on a… -
Re: 5 Vegas Gold Robusto
There are 100 ways to light a cigar, all are a difference of opinion. Try out several methods and determine for yourself what you like best. When possible I toast the foot indirectly for about 1 min, take a draw and check for an even light. Good to go.When it's windy I use a torch and light it quickly.I notice a difference…
