I'm smoking this oliva g. It's the first cigar that I really fell in love with, and is the reason that I started getting serious about the hobby. This particular one was purchased at auction. 9 of them made it into my humidor and I decided to smoke one. Then something came up where I couldn't, so I said, I'll put this in the freezer until I get back. Three months later I found that stick in the freezer of the beer fridge. I took it out, put it in a plastic baggie, and let it thaw. After about a day, I stuck it back in the humidor, and now here it is. It has lost a little bit of its flavor, but not all of it. It's a little spicier than it used to be too, but I'll still finish it.. it's definitely not a stale piece of junk, it still has that oliva g profile with a little more black I probably could have used another couple of months in the humidor
Ok smalll update, halfway through and most of that spice has dissipated. It's back to being a good old oliva g! Glad I didn't chuck it!

@VegasFrank Sent some Worker's Party strife for me to take advantage of.
Hammer & Sickle maduro, right up my alley. Excellent flavors, and the San Andres wrapper is pretty awesome to boot. But, not quite a Stalin's boot, just an ordinary kind.

So what do you think of the Cubans after a couple? To me, they're not really the magic Sticks that I hyped up in my head. Although these aren't necessarily the highest end cigars Cuba has to offer, I think that the flavor profiles are generally the same, and to be honest, I really like stuff from Nicaragua more.
However, they are as unique in flavor as nicaraguans are, and so for that, I generally like them.

I find the Hoyo to be excellent. I will definitely try to buy a box. The Partagas was pretty good. The Punch was good but I hate to admit it but I found the Punch Gran Puro Nicaragua to be a little better. I have yet to try the Fonseca but they smell f**king fantastic!
Again, thank you brother.

NP! The fonsecas ARE good, but half of them have really tight draws, hence the double-up. Here's hoping you get 2 good ones....

Hey @peter4jc I’m about to smoke this cigar that I got from you... So I’m going to post about it here on a cigar forum... Where we talk about cigars... Which is the reason I joined the forum... Thanks for the cigar.

La Estrella Cubana - the ‘FUBAR’ blend of a number of years ago. IIRC, about 100,000 of these hit the docks with the wrong wrapper on them.... or so the story went. Surprisingly, they were damned tasty and a few of us bought a bunch of ‘em....
