A little aging project from 11/6/2020, first one I had was pretty good so I put some down to rest. Tasty so far.
I originally thought these were a AJ blend but after this rest I’m thinking it’s an Oliva cigar. Great wrapper, nearly flawless, smooth filler that is full flavor but not spicy or peppery anymore. Not really an evening cigar for me but I’m enjoying it and the burn is perfect and strong ash. Rich tobacco, earth (some Mexican tobacco possibly), a touch of sweetness and light spice. Good afternoon smoke.
It’s also not a 58ring as listed, more like a 6x54.
In keeping with the aging check, I picked up 100 of these when they were blowing them out on 5/18/2020 for about 1.70 a pop. Still pretty dang strong and the wrapper shines.
I'll toast Calvin with this Tat Lomo de Cerdo, congrats for 7 years. Also celebrating Tat Tuesday and pre-gaming tonight's pork roast. This cigar choice was meant to be.
