So as we've noticed in the post cigar pics thread quite a few of us are into photography or are getting into it. camfgs suggested a thread to discuss photography and tips and post regular pics. I love the idea so I'm starting the thread. What's everybody shooting with?

I'm mainly using my Nikon D50 with my 18-55MM lens. I also have the 55-300MM lens and a larger one that I can't remember right now. I have used my fiance's Nikon D5100 a few times and that thing is sick!

Well I guess I'd better post something eh?

    Current camera: Sony Alpha 300
    Lens 1: Sony 18-70mm
    Lens 2: Sony 75 to 300mm.

And if I get lucky, I get shots like this:

    Great thread E. I currently use a Canon Rebel XSi. Lens#1= 28-80mm and Lens#2= 75-300mm

I will be sure to post some of my good shots when I have more time to actually post them. Took some pretty sick shots in Hawaii a few years ago.

Thank you. I hope to have a slide show soon-ish. I don't have my FTP program set up on this new computer yet....but once I do I can upload my web projects which will include some of my photography. I like to take wildlife photos, but I'll do pet portraits or whatever catches my eye if I have the camera ready.

I love doing nature photos. I grew up in the mountains and spent a lot of time backpacking and camping. I have some awesome pics, before digital cameras, of 2 backpacking trips I did to New Mexico from 99 and 01.

I use a Canon EOS Rebel T2-i with Canon EF-S 18-55mm and Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens
Here is a picture of my little buddy at about 30 feet on a tripod. I see this hummer almost everyday, he was even out last Christmas morning and every day in between, he rules my yard.

Here's a photo of something you won' see every day...you may need to scroll to the right a bit.
This photo is of my dog, (Tiny) taking her buddy Mr. Beans (one of my Green Cheek Conures) for a walk.

Nice pic. Not often you get the chance to shoot one while it's standing still. Well, not up here anyway. I've only seen 2 hummingbirds this year, and one of them tried to land on my nose! Scared the crap outta me!

Great pics! As a side, I totally read the topic as pornography enthusiast while thumbing through threads...

Nice shots there fla-gypsy! Looks a lot warmer than here. We got our first snow last weekend, and the leaves are falling off the trees more and more every day. No pics to show....I'm home finishing up 4 tests that I have to take for college today instead of enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Here's a couple of shots of some of my favorite subjects to photograph. Taken with my Canon Rebel XTI EOS with a EF-S18 - 55 wide angle zoom. The other lens I use is a Canon 75 - 300 Ultrasonic zoom. This thing is great for wildlife pictures because it is almost silent while zooming.

I'll have to have my mom find them. They're boxed up somewhere at her house in TN. I have been meaning to ask her to find them anyways because I want them so this will give me a good reason to finally do it lol

This is one I took of some Water lillies in Mexico in 2008.

That's awesome Doug. Imo if you black and white it and then bring the color back of the lilies themselves I think it'd set them off even more. Again that's a great picture

Man, you guys are really putting up some great pics. I'm going to have to try and get some of mine put up. I have a canon T1 with some basic lenses. I really want to get a macro lens and something that will reach out and touch something.

I need to start sending all my trades/bombs to you guys to take pics that are postable... I've been trying to get the hang of it, but with my crappy camera, they all look horrible!

Great thread. Love everyones pics. Currently shooting with a Nikon D3100 that came with a 18-55mm and a 55-200mm. Before that Canon PowerShot SD800. So far I've bought the 35mm - F/1.8 and an SB-600 speedflash. My favorite go to lens is the 35mm. Looking to trade in my 18-55 and 55-200 for the 18mm-200mm.

    Wishlist:
    Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S
Nikon 85mm f/3.5G AF-S DX ED VR Macro.
