I had to revisit this topic, because it happened again last night. I was in the lounge at the local Indian resort/casino. I sat down with my anejo Tequila, a beer, and lit up an Ashton VSG, and it was great. Then the woman at the table next to me starts with the hand waving in front of her face. "You know" she says, your smoke is blowing over here right into my face!" Immediately the woman behind me (who was smoking a cigarette) says to her "There's a non smoking lounge down the hall." And I say "That's right, that's why they have smoke free areas here, for people like you." Her sarcastic response was "Thanks, you're a real gentleman!" Well the sad end to the story is that it totally ruined the experience. I felt self conscious, and I let the cigar burn out, I finished the drinks in a hurry, and I left. What I should have said was: "You are an ass. 99% of this state is designated non smoking. I choose to come her for enjoyment. You have your own enjoyment, but that isn't good enough for you. This place has freedoms not just for you. The world isn't designed for YOU. So you think I'm not a "gentleman". Too bad." And then I should have blown smoke her way. I'm still steaming over this!

    as well you should be.

i have reached the point where i am unapologetic when it comes to standing up for my rights. you should be too. individual rights are going bye-bye and im not gunna go quietly.

I had a similar experience the other week here in Nevada. My friend and i were in a bar(i havent run into any places in nevada where you CANT smoke) we were drinking beer and smoking CCOM Brazilians. There are faaaaaar more offensive cigars than this one. The bartender comes over and politley asks if we cold take our cigars outside. We politley reminded her we are in a bar that allows smoking. She rather unpolitley states the smoking is clouding up the place(not so much with all the cigarette soking going on, we were tucked awy in a corner) and is bothering her. We unpolitley tell her the no cigar smoking is not posted anywhere. She ot pissed and walked off. We clinked our beer and finished smoking our cigars. The next night about 5 of us walked in armed with sticks and we were going to stage a retaliation herf! the **** made a sign out of notebook paper saying no cigar smoking. Geez. Some peoples children...

You should have folded her little sign into a make shift ashtray until you were told that this was a rule from the management of the bar, not some pissy barfly that just happens to be pouring some drinks.

I'll go on record on saying obesity is more of a concern than smoking. fast food should be on the radar not smoking. fast food tax, not cigar tax!!! lol
That's sadly true... Maybe if they raised the tax on fast food, people would quit that too... It would generate a helluva lot more money than cigars..
its not about generating money. its about control.
    so is universal healthcare...

    "Long ashes my friends."

*** her dude! Women love to make men fell like ***! I would have said to her, "You're not a lady".

Years ago when you could smoke in bars I used to smoke where I was doing a weekly gig. This guy came up to me and said "get that cigar out of here. I'm allergic to the smoke. So is my daughter." First, his daughter wasn't there. I said to him " Dude, you are full of ***. You are sitting at a bar with people smoking cigarettes. That's worse. You just don't like the smell of it. To bad for you."

That's a great comeback! I'm sorry I didn't think of it. The next person who does this to me is going to get both barrels. But I don't want to be insulting. Just "fair"
