I picked up my Sultan meerschaum as an estate pipe. I dropped it on the garage floor a few years ago and unknowingly cracked the tenon part of the stem. The tenon eventually broke off and I purchased a replacement stem, which didn't quite match the diameter of the shank. After a while I ordered a nice replacement stem on eBay, but didn't check the size of the connectors and I cracked the shank. I was able to repair it with superglue and use the original fitting and everything is fine now, but I wish I had paid closer attention when I replaced the stem the second time.
I'm participating in March Meerschaum Madness, meer pipes are light and appear fragile, but they're tougher than they look, given reasonable care.

Samuel Gawith 1792 Flake in my EA Carey Magic Inch meer lined pipe for the ride home.
Something about 1792 Flake reminds me of fried Duros Mexican wagon wheel snacks from the swap meet, maybe the smell of the fryer.

Drama Reserve in my Altinay billiard as I start roasting coffee this morning.
I dropped this pipe on a hard floor on the way out to the garage on Friday. I didn't see any damage, luckily.
A Picayune pick-me-up in my Altinay meer billiard after a Costco trip and before going to the park for a local snake exhibit.
Picayune packs a punch.
Timeless in a Falcon.
Is there a trend of dropping meers, Chris. I would bet if you dropped briars instead, they would break less.

Enjoying some Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake Burnt Ends from @Stubble in my Altinay billiard meer.
From earlier. Began a bowl with the beginning of Oppenheimer. Finished said bowl slightly before the credits began to roll. Wonderful.
