What is in your pipe?

2014 3 Oaks Syrian in my BST Billiard. I was going to smoke this last night but I conked out. This used to be my favorite blend before I lost my love of latakia. It's now soft with a bit of smoke and incense.

Mistakenly, I left a sessions worth of C&D Ismir Turkish overnight. This morning I added equal amounts of Wilke Coronado Oriental thinking it was the same thing. Turned out to be quite enjoyable and happy mistake.

Today is pipe day. I haven't felt like leaving the couch. All guests are gone, house is quiet and clean. Here we are.
Earlier was a bowl of 2013 ODF and now a mix of ODF, BK, and 1792 leftovers. I have no idea the ratio, probably mostly BK. Cheers!Nolite Oblivisci Peniculus Dentes

Glad that it survived the long nap in the cellar, vintage 2010. Imported from a tobacco shop in Switzerland.

Third time I've smoked this. I almost didn't buy it, mostly because I'm not a big Burley fan, but aged Virginias, Cavendish, and a "spice" topper, what the heck? The first time I tried it was meh, at best.
So I read the reviews, some said "meh", some waxed ecstatic, so, I tried it again yesterday in this Peterson System standard 307. Big difference! Very nice. I find it interesting how much difference there can be between one pipe and another with any particular tobacco. Also, credit the "system" pipe with the extraction of moisture allowing the taste to come through. It has its weaknesses as well as its strengths, but overall the strengths win me over. Love my System pipes.

Just enough time to start a small bowl. Double booked on kids birthday parties today. Ro and I are employing the divide and conquer technique. Have a good Saturday, everyone.
