I don't have an actual dollar figure, I should ask Jeff next time I talk to him.
But it is definately a number with three zero's behind it.
I must have spent close to $500 in the last month. But I was trying to get ahead on some stock so, I would guess it comes in at around $300 a month.
OK someone hijack this thread quickly. before the wife finds and reads this !

I don't even want to try and figure that one out.. All that money " up in smoke" But I did have many fine times doing it. I guess that counts for something.

I've spent about $700 in the last 6 months. But I'm also not buying anything else until the end of the year. I'm extremely conscientious of my spending and I'll cost average on stogies the same way I do in stocks. So the cigars I have are probably worth in the thousands if you counted each one individually.

Ouch, I've made a point of not looking. I started 4 months ago...spent just over $1000.00. On the other hand I'm set until spring as I won't smoke much at all in the winter in Minnesota, and my humidors are full.

I always get carried away...guns, guitars, drums, stereo equipment...this year cigars. It's why I never tried hard drugs.

On the other hand I've not had a drink in over 2 years now. This is cheap compared to that "hobby".

I think if you buy the Red Wings, they pretty much just throw the Lions and Tigers in for free! It's kinda like bundling.

I have spent around $1000 since July. I am just getting back in to the hobby again. Since I started on cigar (counting the $1000 I already mentioned) I am close to about $2500. Most of that has been in cigars. I have two humi's now and a third in the mail. most of the time I would have to smoke something within a month or less of recieving it, now I have the room to let them sit for a little so I wont have to buy singles anymore.

So far, I've spent around 250 dollars here, plus around 200 bucks at the B&M. So, in the year that I've been a 'serious' smoker, around 450 dollars. That's a ballpark figure.
Wow... Now I feel even more irresponsible about my cigar spending. I've been into cigars for maybe 1.5 months, and I've spent easily $175 on sticks and equipment in that time - and I'm only working freelance! lol
So now that I just re-noticed my Ccom Join Date, I realize I had my time estimate off. I bought my first cigar maybe a few days before I joined Ccom, so I've been into cigars for not even a month. Yikes... After the event this weekend and my birthday, my cigar purchases will probably be put on hold for a good while...

  • I have repressed my spending way down into my sub-conscience. That way I can't think about it ....although some nights I do have some pretty nasty dreams.... involving me... and one of those old crank adding machines..I wake up in cold sweats.... image

Damn... I guess I should say I am happy to see most people here seem to have my problem! haahahah... Looking at other things I realize more and more it is a good alternative to all the other stuff I used to spend my money on. Like I havent bought alcohol really for a loooong time... Don't have TV home or play video games or buy music/dvds/movies... And I don't have a car... lol... Anyway... Blah - this is like the best hobby in the world! I love it. Def. a lot of variety and enjoyment in doing everything. Tending after your "crop", growing it, consuming it lol...

I love guns too btw but in the freaking US its so damn expensive! When I was in Bulgaria I had a nice smooth Beretta 9mm when I was 18... Here I cant buy any gun like that. In the past few years I have been growing more and more interested in hunting knives, but have withhold from purchases - just window shopping.... I think I'll stick to cigars - at least I don't run the risk of getting deported if found with a few of them in my pockets...

    Pounds or dollars :)?
  • Thinking about this is kind of scary. In the last three days I've spent over $200. Picked up some cigars to bring on vacation two weeks ago that was about $45. The week before that was a Xicar cutter and a couple of sticks at local shop and that was around $125. In the last month spent close to $400. I guess I average around $50-100 a week. But I'm getting filled up to capacity, so hopefully that will taper off a bit. I go through about 3-4 cigars a week so I'll be smoking what I have for a while to make room. Still I feel the need to fill up as I smoke, Grrrrrrr its a vicious cycle!

Figured I'd bump this back to the top. Lasabar sent me an Excel spreadsheet that allows you to keep track of your cigars. It totals up price and # of sticks, etc. Neat program. Anyway, my estimate was off, lol. I have spent far too much money since I joined this forum.

I forgot about the birthday voucher. Oops. I think I need to add another $350 just in the past few days.

This year I have spent about $400 and I think I did exceptionally well since the actual retail would be around $1200. I never buy unless it is a special deal and then I research it before I buy to be sure I am getting the best deal.
