Though I didn't get to know him, sitting here reading this sad news and seeing all the love and respect due him being spoken here I wish I could have, He has touched a lot of lives here and I have truly missed out not being able to know him. Thank you so very much for getting on to let all of his friends (and family here) know the news. I pray God keeps you and your family in strength and love together through this tough time. Sincerely Steve R.

My thoughts are with you during this challenging time. It was very considerate of you to post here to let us know of your loss. In my early years, i won a contest from beatnic, and received a few cigars. I will do some digging and smoke one in his honour. Perhaps others would like to as well if they can as well.
My prayers and condolences are with his family and loved ones. Didn't have the pleasure of meeting him but from what I've heard was a great guy and one that'll be missed.
I didn't know your father very well but we connected over a couple of things-- the fact that he lived in Bellingham, WA for a few years (my home town) and Sazeracs. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

While your father and I don't know each other. He helped me, how to format my post. "Fixted it Rebel." he said, and told me how it's done. I will never forget, that he took the time to help. You have a wonderful father and he will be missed. My Prayers to you and your family.
I've been trying to think of what to say for a while. Did not know you well, but you will be missed. My condolences to the family.Miss playing poker with you and I'll never forget your answer to the "Why your handle/username."
Saddened to hear about the loss but are grateful that you are letting us know. While this is an online forum it doesn't mean we don't feel sad for one of our own...we pray for his family and hope that you will call on us if you need support.
Life is just to short, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. This forum is a funny thing even as we have yet to meet each other we/I seem to still hold a bond of some sort for members here, and I truthfully feel a loss within for Rick, I will miss you forever more. Mike
Thank you so much for letting us know of your dad's passing. My prayers go out to you and your family. Rick was a wonderful person. The forum and the world has lost someone special. He did my first trade when I started out. As you can see he was a friend to everyone here. I wish I could remember what his favorite cigar was so I could smoke one in his honor.
And thanks again Jim for giving me the heads up. I'd have hated not knowing a good friend was gone.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.
i had nothing but respect for him. we did several trades and shared palates.
i have smoked many good cigars because of him.
i will miss his presence on these boards. seeing his name on any thread brought joy to my life and i looked forward to his opinions.
this is one of the saddest moments this forum has ever seen. those who met him understand this. this place will never be the same without him.
rick i will miss you greatly. you brought joy into my life. with any luck, i will get to see you some day, and share an Avo 22.
